(SOUTH DUNDAS, ON) - On May 14, 2018 at approximately 10:18am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an emergency at a School in the Town of Iroquois, South Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that a young male had falsely called 9-1-1 at the location.



A 13-year-old male of South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;



- False Information



He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on June 21, 2018.

The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).



ASSAULT WITH WEAPON



(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) - On May 15, 2018 at approximately 6:28 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a disturbance on Sir James Morris Drive in South Dundas Township.



Investigation indicated that an altercation occurred between a young male (same young male as previous occurrence) and an adult male. The accused young male struck the victim with a weapon. The accused young male also damaged property of the victims. The victim received minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.



A 13-year-old male of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;



- Assault with a weapon

- Mischief



He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on June 21, 2018.

The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).



ASSAULT- DOMESTIC



(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) - On May 15, 2018 at approximately 9:57am Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of domestic situation in South Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that an adult female had assaulted her boyfriend. Further investigation revealed that the female had caused damage to the male's property.



A 22-year-old female of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

- Assault



A 21-year-old male of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

- Mischief



Both were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall court on June 12, 2018.



EXCESSIVE SPEEDS



(SD&G) - On May 15-16, 2018 Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G and intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and the driver's permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.



- May 15, 2018 - 2:55pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 155km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (63) of Montreal, Quebec was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).



- May 16, 2018 - 8:42pm (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 159km/h (100km/h zone) (Highway 401). Male driver (27) of South Glengarry, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).



DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(NORTH GLENGARRY, ON) - On May 16, 2018 at approximately 12:18pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Bishop Street in North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a male and his girlfriend. The Investigation revealed that the male had assaulted and threatened his girlfriend.



A 32-year-old male from North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;



- Assault

- Assault with a weapon

- Uttering threats



He was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on May 17, 2018.

His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.





TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN CHARGES



(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) - On May 16, 2018 at approximately 3:52pm, Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officer had the occasion to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Thompson Road, North Dundas Township. The vehicle failed to comply with the request and continued on until it was successfully intercepted by officers on Thompson Road, a check of the male driver revealed his driving privileges disqualified stemming from previous driving related offences.



Jeffrey JULIEN (39) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with:



- Drive Disqualified ( 2 counts)

- Flight while pursued by peace officers



He was released and scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on June 5, 2018.
