(HURON EAST, ON) - Another truck stolen and once again the keys were left in an unlocked vehicle. Don't become the next victim of a vehicle theft, please do your part and lock your vehicle and always remove the keys from the vehicle. Protecting your property is pretty simple and it doesn't cost a penny, it's just a matter of making it a habit.
It is very clear to police and it should be to everyone else, thieves target unlocked motor vehicles with the ignition key inside. If you fail to take some basic measures to secure your property it may be the last time you see it.
Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a report of a Chevrolet pickup truck that was stolen sometime between 4:30 p.m. on May 10, 2018 and 2:30 p.m. on May 12, 2018. The truck was stolen from the backyard of a Centre Street residence in Seaforth.
The stolen truck is described as a red, two-door, 1998 Chevrolet WT with a loud muffler. Several tools contained inside the truck were also stolen. Some of the tools included a black Stiletto hammer, Makita skill saw, Dewalt electric drill, several wrenches, screwdrivers and a black tool box.
