Farm Truck With Keys Stolen

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the recent theft of a farm truck that was stolen this past week in Morris-Turnberry.

The stolen truck is described as a maroon 2000 Chevrolet Silverado with a long box and a tow bar attached to the front. It had been left in a field located on Amberley Road between Molesworth and Bluevale. It was left unlocked with the keys in the ignition.

Police believe the theft took place sometime between 5:00 p.m. on May 13th and 4:00 p.m. on May 14th, 2018.

Remember, thieves are actively looking to steal vehicles that are left unattended with the keys in them. What can you do to prevent your vehicle from being stolen?

Always roll up your vehicle's windows, lock the doors and pocket the key
Never leave your running vehicle unattended
When possible, park your vehicle in a secure garage
When parking outside find a well-lit area
Remove your valuables from your vehicle
Call police if you observe suspicious activity
