Three Youth Held Accountable For Mischief In Mount Forest

(TOWNSHIP OF NORTH WELLINGTON, ON) - On May 15, 2018 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a mischief at Lions Park, Mount Forest. Sometime on May 14, unknown suspects damaged the William Mooney Memorial Park sign. Initial estimates put the value of damage at approximately $1000.
With information from the public, the OPP have concluded their investigation. Three youth, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), are being held accountable. The youth took responsibility for their actions and as a result they were charged using 'diversionary measures' as per YCJA legislation. Each will be contributing to the cleanup of the park and provide a letter of apology to the Lions Club.
