(ST. MARYS, ON) - A motor vehicle collision in the Town of St. Marys has resulted in criminal charges on July 8, 2018.

Members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the area of Maxwell Street following the report of a motor vehicle collision. Through investigation, reasonable grounds were formed to believe that the driver was impaired, and he was subsequently arrested at the scene. He was transported to an OPP detachment for further evaluation.

Twenty-nine-year old Michael LEE of the Town of St. Marys was arrested and charged with the following offences:

Take motor vehicle without consent;
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle;
Driving while ability impaired-motor vehicle (drug)

He was later released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to speak to the charges.
