(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) - On July 12, 2018 at approximately 3:46 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint from a concerned motorist regarding a possible impaired driver.

Information was received that the suspect passenger vehicle was being driven erratically eastbound on Highway 26 in the Municipality of Meaford.

Police located and stopped the vehicle on Highway 26 near the 7th Line and found that the lone driver had been drinking alcohol. The driver, who showed signs of impairment, was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment for breath tests, which he failed.

Test results indicated he had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
