Vehicle Used In Domestic Assault - Building Damaged, Officer Assaulted - Drunk Driver Arrested

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY) On Saturday July the 14th, 2018, just after 7:00am, Prince Edward County O.P.P. were dispatched to a disturbance on Cty Rd 22 just south of the town of Picton.

The subsequent investigation revealed a domestic dispute was occurring between a male and female party. The female party was intoxicated and had been acting aggressively towards the male including driving her vehicle at the male party and then repeatedly driving the vehicle into a building located on the property.

When the responding officers were affecting the arrest of the accused she assaulted one officer and then a second assisting officer was assaulted by the accused.

The accused, a 39 year old female from Kingston was held for a bail hearing to be heard today in Belleville Court at 1:00pm to answer to multiple criminal offences including:

Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Domestic Assault, Domestic Mischief and two counts of Assault Police.

No serious injuries resulted to any of the involved parties in this incident.
