Corn Field Used In Attempt To Flee Police

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - On July 14, 2018, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of two (2) suspicious people in the area of Ilderton Road and Wonderland Road North, Municipality of Middlesex Centre.
The complainant reported observing the pair walking along a ditch. The pair appeared disoriented. Police attended the area and the pair fled into an adjacent corn field.
Members of the Middlesex County Detachment, Middlesex Elgin Community Street Crimes Unit and the West Region OPP Canine Unit responded to the call. The Canine Unit located the suspects and they were taken into custody.
As a result of the investigation, Cyle VANBYNEN, 26-year-old male, of London, Ontario has been charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).
Chantelle DAW, 24-year-old female, of London, Ontario was also located and arrested in relation to a July 3, 2018 Middlesex OPP investigation. In that case, arrest warrant had been issued for the following offences pursuant to the CC;

The accused were held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on Sunday, July 15, 2018.
