(STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY, ON) - The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several incidents after responding to 253 calls for service from Friday July 13, 2018 to Tuesday July 17, 2018.





IMPAIRED DRIVER



(NORTH STORMONT,ON) - On July 14, 2018 at approximately 11:21pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop on County Road 43 in North Stormont Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.



Randy GEBBIE (45) of North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;



- Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

- Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood



He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court September 4, 2018.



IMPAIRED DRIVER



(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) - On July 14, 2018 at approximately 11:55pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 401 in South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol.



Kari LEVERE (35) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;



- Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood



She was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court August 16, 2018.



EXCESSIVE SPEEDS



(SD&G) - On July 13-16, 2018 Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G and intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and the driver's permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.



- July 13, 2018 - 10:29am (North Glengarry); vehicle stopped traveling 162km/h (80km/h zone)(County Road 30). Male driver (49) from Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).



- July 13, 2018 - 12:31pm (South Stormont); vehicle stopped traveling 158km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (24) from Brampton, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).



- July 14, 2018 - 3:46pm (North Glengarry); vehicle stopped traveling 156km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 417). Male driver from Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).



- July 15, 2018 - 8:49am (North Glengarry); vehicle stopped traveling 160km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 417). Male driver from Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

- July 16, 2018 - 1:52pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 153km/h (100km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (50) from Toronto, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).





ASSAULT



(NORTH STORMONT,ON) - On July 15, 2018 at approximately 5:08pm Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of family dispute in North Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that an adult male had assaulted a family member and threatened them as well.



A 35-year-old male of North Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;



- Assault

- Uttering Threats



He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall court on August 14, 2018.

Her name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.



ASSAULT WITH WEAPON



(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) - On July 16, 2018 at approximately 2:54am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a disturbance on County Road 18 in South Dundas Township.



Investigation indicated that an altercation occurred between a male and an adult female (wife). The accused male struck the victim with a weapon. The accused male also threatened the victim. Investigation further revealed that the accused also assaulted and threatened another adult male at the scene. The victims received no injuries. The accused failed to comply with police request and continued on until it he was successfully intercepted by officers.



A 47-year-old male of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;



- Assault with a weapon ( 3 counts)

- Mischief

- Uttering Threats (4 counts)

Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose ( 2 counts)

- Flight while pursued by peace officer





He was held in custody (bail) and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.





MISCHIEF



(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) - On July 16, 2018 at approximately 8:55pm Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of family dispute in North Dundas Township. Investigation revealed that a young male had caused damage to the family home.



A 15-year-old male of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;



- Mischief



He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall court on August 18, 2018.

The name of the accused is being withheld as per guidelines of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
