OPP Investigate Another Drowning

(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a drowning after a swimmer failed to surface on Sunday August 6, 2018 at Logos Land Resort near Cobden in the Township of Whitewater Region. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 2:30 pm. The 18 year old female was swimming in a lake with family members when she failed to surface. Lifeguards were summoned and searched for the female but she was not located. OPP Underrwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) members have been called in to assist. Provincial Constable Lindsay Moore is leading the investigation. Logos Land Resort owners have advised the resort will be closed to the public until the police investigation is complete.
