(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) - A local male faces an alcohol related charge after his vehicle was stopped by an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
At approximately 2:13 p.m. on August 9, 2018, officers responded to a traffic complaint related to a vehicle being operated by an impaired driver. The vehicle was located and the subsequent investigation resulted in the driver being arrested.
Kevin Nixon, 56 years of age, of Fenelon Falls faces the Criminal Code charge of driving a motor vehicle with more than 80mgs of alcohol. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on
September 20, 2018.
