(PARRY SOUND, ON) - On August 13, 2018 at shortly after 4 a.m. the West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a hold up alarm at a convenience store in Parry Sound, Ontario. The suspect wore a disguise and demanded money and a package of cigarettes.
Police obtained a description and a security photo of the suspect. Erkki MANNISTO was arrested and charged with:
Disguise with intent contrary to section 351(2) of the Criminal Code (CC),
Theft under $5000 - shoplifting contrary to section 334(b) of the CC, and
Possession of a Schedule I substance - cocaine contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).
The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound, Ontario.
