56 Year Old Speeder Caught Going 50 Over Limit On Hwy 21

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) - A driver from Goderich is facing some heavy penalties following a stunt driving episode that took place on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

At approximately 11:57 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) member was conducting speed enforcement patrols on Bluewater Veteran's Highway just north of Goderich when he encountered a smaller sedan travelling northbound at a very high rate of speed.

A RADAR device was used to measure the vehicle's speed and it found the car to be travelling at a speed in excess of 50 km/h over the posted 80 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was conducted which led to police charging 56-year-old Monica KELLY from Goderich with Perform Stunt - Excessive Speed. Her licence was seized for an automatic seven days and her vehicle was also impounded. She will also have to attend Provincial Offences Court in Goderich on October 23, 2018 to answer to the charge.
