Fatal ATV Collision

(PHELPS TOWNSHIP, ON) - On September 16, 2018, shortly after 5:30 p.m. members of the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision involving a single All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on Songis Road in Phelps Township, Ontario.

The collision occurred when an ATV left the roadway striking a tree in the eastbound ditch. Gary REDHEAD, a 49 year-old male from North Bay, Ontario was pronounced death at the scene.

The investigation is continuing with the assistance of an OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigator (TTCI).
