Impaired Driver Involved In Three Vehicle Collision

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) - On September 2, 2018 the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a motor vehicle collision on Stoney Point Road south of County Road 2 in the Municipality of Brighton involving three motor vehicles.

A green pick-up truck rear ended a gold sedan pushing it into a black SUV while stopped at a railway crossing. As a result of the investigation 29 year old Lucas Tyler Langmuir of Prince Edward County was arrested and charged with care and control of a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood. The accused received an immediate 90 day driver's licence suspension and further had the vehicle towed and impounded.

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg, Ontario on September 26, 2018
