65 Year Old Facing Criminal Harassment Charge - Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA, ON) - On August 25, 2018 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of criminal harassment on Main Street, Rockwood. A 34-year-old female from Rockwood had reported that a male known to her had been making repeated, unwelcome communications with her over the past two years.
Wellington County Major Crime Unit has concluded their investigation and have charged 65-year-old Barton William LISCUMB of Rockwood with Criminal Harassment contrary to the criminal code. He was held for bail.
OPP would like to remind everyone that Criminal Harassment is the repeated, unwanted communication with someone that causes them to fear for their safety. This communication could be in person or via phone calls, emails, texting, social media applications or any other medium. If you or someone else you know feels that they are being harassed please contact police. Living in fear is no way to live.
