18 Year Old Charged with Manslaughter

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - On Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at approximately 11:03 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment and Norfolk County Paramedic Services responded to a 911 call for an unresponsive male at an address on Highway 59 in North Walsingham, Norfolk County.

The male was taken to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, investigators arrested and charged 18-year-old James CUTHBERT of Norfolk County, Ontario with Manslaughter contrary to section 236(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Detectives from the Norfolk County OPP Detachment are continuing to investigate, under the direction of Detective Inspector Andy Raffay, of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

The accused is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date.
