Fatal Collision Update - Names Of Deceased Released

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) - On October 6, 2018, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious traffic collision involving a pick-up truck and a sedan on Wellington Road 44, just outside of Rockwood.

The driver of the sedan, Jacqueline GREIG, 45-years-old, and the passenger, Kiefer GRIEG, 17-years-old, both of Fergus were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where they were later pronounced deceased. Michael O'NEIL, 35-years-old, also of Fergus was a passenger in the sedan and was pronounced dead at scene.

The driver of the pick-up truck was uninjured.

Members of the Wellington County OPP and Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) continue to investigate the cause of this collision.
