E-Bike Recovered & Charges Laid

(SOUTH HURON, ON) - A 42-year-old Exeter resident is facing criminal charges following a search warrant that was conducted yesterday in Exeter.
On October 6, 2018 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers commenced an investigation into the theft of an E-Bike that was stolen from an apartment building located on Park Street in Exeter.
The investigation advanced and culminated with a search warrant that took place at a residence in Exeter yesterday. As a result of the search warrant members from the Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) and Huron OPP recovered the stolen E-Bike and took a male into custody.
Gerald BIERLING, 42 years of age from Exeter has since been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Hydromorphone) and Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana). He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 22, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Exeter.
