(HOWICK, ON) - A 41-year-old from Listowel is facing a charge of Refuse to Provide Breath Sample following a crash that took place south of Wroxeter this past weekend.
At approximately 1:16 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County Paramedic Services and Howick Fire Department responded to a single vehicle rollover crash on Gorrie Line near C Line Road.
Upon arrival officers located a heavily damaged 4-door car in the south ditch. The driver was transported to hospital where he was assessed for minor injuries. A breath demand was given to the driver however the driver refused to comply and failed to provide a sample.
He was placed under arrest and was subsequently charged with Refuse to Provide Breath Sample. He was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 3, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice. His driver's licence has been suspended for an automatic 90 days and his vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
