26 Year Old Facing Assault Causing Bodily Harm - Name Released

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) - On Tuesday January 8, 2019 at approximately 8:00 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a disturbance between two females at a residence on Flannery Drive in Fergus.

Investigation revealed that a verbal altercation between a resident of the home and a visitor escalated and turned physical. The 32-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries to her face and hand.

26-year-old Miranda DOBBERTHIEN of Guelph has been charged with Assault Bodily Harm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 12, 2019 to answer to the charge.
