Harriston Break And Enter - Lawrence CAIN Charged

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) - On Wednesday January 16, 2019 at approximately 10:40 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence located on Jessie Street in Harriston.

The complainant advised police that he was in his residence when he observed an unknown male attempting to gain access to the home through the back door. The complainant yelled at the male at which time he fled on foot. Officers set up a perimeter and tracked the suspect through the snow, apprehending him a short time later.

37-year-old Lawrence CAIN of Harriston has been charged with Break and Enter a Residence with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 19, 2019 to answer to the charge.
