Female From Harriston Facing Assault Charge - Heather MCCREADIE

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) - On Sunday January 13, 2019 at approximately 1:10 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to an assault that had just occurred at an apartment building on John Street in Harriston, involving two female residents.

Investigation revealed that the accused and victim were known to each other and were involved in a verbal altercation when it turned physical and one female assaulted the other in the hallway of the building.

The victim received minor injuries and did not require medical attention.

49-year-old Heather MCCREADIE of Harriston has been charged with Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 15, 2019 to answer to the charge.
