OPP Appeal for Assistance after Shooting Incident in Wasaga Beach

(Wasaga Beach, ON) - Members the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called shortly after 2:00a.m. this morning to assist a male who was suffering from a gunshot wound in the Town of Wasaga Beach.
The 30-year-old male victim was transported to an area hospital where he is recovering serious but non-life threatening injuries. Police are looking to speak with anyone who might have witnessed suspicious activity in the area of Wesley and River Road early this morning. Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and at this time there is no concern for public safety.
Officers from the Huronia West OPP crime unit are currently investigating and are looking for information which may assist in identifying suspect(s).
