Another Drunk Driver Charged - MCDONNEL

(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) - On March 17, 2019 at approximately 8:37 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver.

Police stopped the suspect vehicle on Grey Road 29 in the Township of Chatsworth and determined that the lone driver was impaired by alcohol. She was arrested and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests, which she failed. The test results indicated she had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in her system.

34-year old Lesley Anne Louise MCDONNEL of the Municipality of Grey Highlands was charged with Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs and Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80 mg.

She was also charged with driving while under suspension (x2) and operating a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.

She is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on April 18, 2019 to answer to the charges.
