Hazard Finally Repaired! Public Willing To Take Back Wingham One Street Corner At A Time If Necessary - Crosswalk Sign Neglected Since 2018 Still Not Fixed!
Source: WFPDate: Tue Apr 9 13:03:48 MST 2019
All members of the Public that contacted council or town hall regarding the exposed wires on Josephine St. deserve a heartfelt thank you for helping protect our Community. It took several days before Sean “DF” McGhee was shamed into doing about .005% of his job. At 1:45pm today the shock hazard was finally fixed after months of neglect. I hope the next Director of Public Works gives a shit about his job, standards, our Community or Pedestrian safety.
Next on the list is the broken crosswalk sign that has been broken since before Christmas. I know Pedestrian safety is of the lowest priority of DF McGhee and how they joke about students making great speed bumps. If everyone takes a few seconds to contact council and/or town hall we can get this sign fixed by shaming DF McGhee into doing his job. You will notice in the photo below that the shroud for the crosswalk sign still has not been put back on since before Christmas. The shroud is located in the bottom right hand corner of the photo.
If necessary we will do this until everything in Wingham is fixed, one street corner at a time.
