Toddler Found Playing Near A Busy Intersection In West Perth - No Charges!

(WEST PERTH, ON) - On April 12, 2019 at approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Perth detachment responded to a report of a toddler playing near a busy intersection in the Municipality of West Perth. A Town employee quickly got the toddler away from the busy street and contacted Police.
Police spoke with the parents and educated them on a safety plan for the toddler.
Police want to remind parents' that it is their responsibility to care for, and to ensure the safety of, their children at all times.
Active supervision requires focused attention and intentional observation of children at all times.
