Bailey The Bankrupter To Increase Spending And Taxes At All Costs - Swamp Burger Scandal Just The Start

Remember the 400 home subdivision at the edge of Wingham that was supposed to happen? Council blew a ton of your money upgrading services to the edge of the proposed development and not a single home has been built. Just more tax money flushed down the toilet due to bailey’s incompetence and lack of basic math and logic skills.

Since the last “development” failed and wasted an incredible amount of money, they want to do it again at Hutton Heights. This time it is a guaranteed failure according to Town Hall’s numbers.

North Huron council can’t get town staff to maintain the infrastructure we have now, how could adding more roads, sewers, water lines, sidewalks for them to ignore the solution? To accomplish this North Huron would have to spend millions in the hopes of bringing in $147,000/year in tax revenue.

Bailey the Bankrupter believes that spending approximately 4 million dollars developing the property to potentially get $147,000/year in tax revenue is a excellent business investment. The interest alone on the $4 million dollar loan would be $160,000/year. Already losing money. Now you have to deduct town staff expense to maintain the new subdivision, likely around $100,000+/year.

North Huron’s budget is about $12 Million/year, so even adding the gross $147,000/year in tax revenue would make about a 1% difference. Besides we all know any new tax revenue will be blown on tvs or something else wasteful and will not lower taxes.

Of course there is one way to guarantee a positive return on the 37 acres North Huron owns, and that would be to sell it to the public so it starts generating property taxes again.
