Tractor Trailer Leaves Roadway In North Perth

(NEWRY, ON) - Shortly before 11:00 A.m., on June 4, 2019, members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County Paramedic Services, North Perth Fire AND Perth County Roads Department responded to the scene of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred on Perth Line 72 in between Road 169 and Road 173, west of Newry.

A tractor trailer that was unloaded was travelling west on Line 72 left the roadway. The lone occupant was a male driver.

Anthony MEILER, 55-years-old, of Troy was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Line 72 remains closed while emergency crews remove the tractor trailer from the ditch.

Residents and drivers are asked to respect the road closures and avoid the area.
