(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - On June 21, 2019, at approximately 1:00 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on general patrol in the Village of Elora when he observed and heard the driver of a pick-up truck do a loud "burnout" while travelling southbound on Metcalfe Street.

Police conducted a traffic stop and deemed the vehicle to be unfit when the driver was unable to provide proof of valid insurance or a safety certificate for the recently purchased vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the plates were not registered to the vehicle.
