(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) - On June 12, 2019, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was monitoring traffic on the Hanlon Parkway using an aircraft. A black sedan was spotted travelling above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was clocked travelling in excess of 140 km/h.

Christopher G. CATANIA, 36-years-old of Oakville has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on August 21, 2019. The accused's driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
