Suspended Driver Stopped Again - LORENZ

(MONKTON, ON) - At approximately 11:30 a.m. on July 31, 2019, a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Perth detachment was on general patrol in Monkton and observed a motor vehicle with a dark tinted licence plate cover. The officer conducted a traffic stop to speak with the driver.
In speaking with the driver, it was determined that the driver was suspended from driving.
Lyle LORENZ, 32-years-old, of Perth East was charged the following;
Driving while under suspension
The driver is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on August 27, 2019 to speak to the charge.
The OPP wants to remind driver's that tinted license plate covers are illegal under section 13(2) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). License plates must be plainly visible and unobstructed at all times.
