(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) - On September 7, 2019, at approximately 11:40 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services responded to a serious single motor vehicle collision on Side Road 20 between the Third and Fourth Line.

The driver and lone occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OPP West Region Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are on scene and continue to investigate the collision.

The identity of the deceased person is being withheld until next-of-kin notification has been completed.

An update will be provided when further information becomes available.

Side Road 20 between the Third and Fourth Line will remain closed for several hours while officers investigate the collision.
