Fatal Collision Involving Tractor And Manure Trailer

(TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON, ON) - On September 5, 2019, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a three vehicle collision involving two motor vehicles and farm tractor hauling a manure trailer on Wellington Road 8 near Side Road 12.

Investigation revealed that a northbound tractor slowed to make a left-hand turn onto Side Road 12 when it was rear-ended by a northbound sport utility vehicle (SUV). The SUV was rear-ended by a northbound sedan. The driver of the SUV, Karen KEIR, 66-years- old of Mount Forest was transported to a local hospital and later transferred to a trauma centre where she later succumbed to her injuries.
