Ryan GREEN Arrested In Goderich - 120 Victims - Methamphetamine, Identity Theft, etc.

(GODERICH, ON) - A stolen property investigation conducted by members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has resulted in the arrest and subsequent charges against a Goderich resident.
As a result of an ongoing investigation, on October 10, 2019 members from the CSCU and Huron County OPP Detachment arrested a male outside of his residence for the unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Shortly thereafter members executed a search warrant at a residence located on Hamilton Street in the Town of Goderich. The subsequent search resulted in police seizing a cache of stolen property consisting of:
Stolen driver's licences, credit cards, Social Insurance Number (SIN) cards, bank statements, cheques, health cards and income tax forms from a total of 120 victims.
A forged police warrant card, police name tag and armoured tactical vest.
Stolen electronics
Sheet of forged Canadian currency and instruments used for counterfeiting
Ammunition, a starter pistol, a throwing knife and other prohibited weapons.
A small quantity of suspected methamphetamine
As a result, police have since charged 37-year-old Ryan GREEN from Goderich with the following 29 criminal charges:
Fail to Comply with Probation Order - 6 counts
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - 8 counts
Forgery - 2 counts
Forging Trademark
Identity Theft
Counterfeiting currency
Possess Counterfeit Money
Possess Counterfeit Instruments
Personating Peace Officer
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order - 2 counts
Possess Break-in tools
Possess Identity Document
Printing Circulars
Tamper with Licence, Authorization, Registration Certificate
The accused remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 28, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
