Serious Collision - One DeceasedSource: Area OPP

(BRANT TWP, ON) - On November 12, 2019 at 2:51 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a serious 2 vehicle collision along Highway 9 in Brant Township.
Investigation revealed that an eastbound car lost traction and was skidding on the highway when it was struck by a westbound Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) before coming to rest in the ditch.
Seventeen-year-old Denise TURQUEZA of Kincardine was a passenger in the car. She was receiving treatment at a London hospital where she was pronounced deceased on November 16, 2019.
The driver of the car, 47-year-old Dennis TURQUEZA of Kincardine, remains in a London hospital where he's being treated for life threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital to have minor injuries assessed.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) unit is assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.
