18 Year Old Caught Going 155 in an 80

(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) - On September 26, 2019, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 89 east of Mount Forest. The officer observed a blue sedan travelling above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 155 km/h.

As a result, Tyler Michael FISH, 18-years-old of Collingwod, has been charged with Racing a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Guelph at the Ontario Court of Justice - Provincial Offences Court on December 4, 2019. Their vehicle and driver's licence were seized for a period of seven days as per statute as per statute.
