(LONDON, ON) - On November 27, 2019, members of the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with members of London Police Service Guns and Drugs Section, executed a search warrant at residences on Alayne Crescent and Jacqueline Street in London, Ontario.



Donald JESSO, 41-years-old of London, Ontario has been charged with:
Possession of a schedule I substance (Hydromorphone) contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking (psilocybin) contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Possession for the purpose of distribution contrary to section 9(2) the Cannabis Act.
Produce with intention to sell or distribute illicit cannabis contrary to section 13(1) of the Cannabis Act.
Distribute over 30 grams of dried cannabis contrary to section 9(1)(a)(i) of the Cannabis Act.

Brandon ROSS, 26-years-old, of Middlesex Centre, Ontario has been charged with:

Possession of a schedule I substance (Hydromorphone) contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking (psilocybin) contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Possession for the purpose of distribution contrary to section 9(2) the Cannabis Act.
Produce with intention to sell or distribute illicit cannabis contrary to section 13(1) of the Cannabis Act.


Both accused were arrested without incident and later released with a court date on December 17, 2019, at the London Ontario Court of Justice.



The OPP is continuing to lead an enforcement strategy, which includes other Ontario police services. This strategy will reflect actionable intelligence on illegal cannabis operations.



The focus of the strategy is to dismantle organized crime groups, eliminate the illegal cannabis supply, remove illegal cannabis enterprises such as store fronts and online, and target the proceeds of crime and assets.
