(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON,ON) - On December 8, 2019, at approximately 1:00 a.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at a residence located on Flannery Drive in the Town of Fergus.

Officers mediated the situation and guests of the residence agreed to stay at a hotel and leave by way of a cab due to their level of intoxication. Police returned to the residence to retrieve property that had been left behind and when they went back outside they observed a red pickup truck being operated by the same intoxicated person that they were just dealing with. Officers flagged the vehicle down and the driver was placed under arrest.

A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph on December 31, 2019.
