Another Drunk Driver Involved In Collision - Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA, ON) - On February 6, 2020, at approximately 6:30 a.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer came upon a single vehicle collision on Wellington Road 124 east of the City of Guelph. It appeared that a driver had left the roadway and struck a fence.
Officers speaking with the driver formed the opinion that they were impaired by alcohol. A Roadside Screening Test was conducted and the driver registered a fail. The driver was arrested and underwent further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Leighton Cobourne OSBOURNE, 37-years-old of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Operation - 80 Plus (mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood). A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph on March 13, 2020.
