(CENTRAL HURON, ON) - A pair of London residents are facing criminal charges after they were caught failing to comply with conditions of a court release following a police investigation that took place last week.
On June 30, 2020 at approximately 6:30 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer's attention was drawn to a motor vehicle that was parked on London Road in front of the Clinton Detachment by the loud blaring music and yelling coming from inside the vehicle.
The officer conducted a traffic stop to investigate what all the commotion was about and upon doing so he located the two accused together in the backseat of the vehicle. Some checks were completed and they revealed the two accused were not supposed to have any contact with each other due to a condition of their release.
As a result, Marshall GREEN, 21 years of age from London and a 17-year-old youth from London are each facing charges of Fail to Comply with a condition of an Undertaking. GREEN has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for September 14, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice. The Youth remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 8, 2020.
