Fatal Collision Update - Deceased Identified

(MIDDLESEX, ON) - On July 8, 2020 at 11:20 a.m. Members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), London Police Service, Middlesex Centre Fire Dept. and Middlesex-London EMS responded to a serious two vehicle collision on Highbury Ave. just north of 8 Mile Rd.
Police have confirmed that a collision occurred between a SUV and Tractor Trailer. As a result of the collision both vehicles became engulfed in fire. The driver of the tractor trailer was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the second motor vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Alexander SIOLAS -age 19- of London, ON.
Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) Team were deployed to the area to assist with the investigation.
