Infant Killed In Farm Incident

(WEST PERTH, ON) - On Monday September 7, 2020, shortly before 6:00 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County EMS and West Perth Fire Department received a report of a farm accident that had occurred at a rural residence on Line 32, in the Municipality of West Perth.

It was determined that an infant was struck by a piece of farm equipment and was pronounced deceased.

Members of the Perth County Major Crime Unit, Traffic Collision Investigation unit (TCI) are continuing to investigate.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area of Line 32 and Road 155 in Municipality of West Perth for the next few hours.

There is no public safety concerns and we will provide an update when possible.
