Two Arrested After K9 Locates Them - Anthony DILLON & Lindsay COURTNEY

(HURON COUNTY, ON) - A lengthy canine search south of Zurich for suspects that fled out of a stolen vehicle last week has led to criminal charges against a pair.

Shortly before 8:00 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer attempted to stop a compact vehicle near Zurich after receiving a traffic complaint about an aggressive driver on London Road. Upon locating the vehicle the driver failed to stop and immediately fled from police. Shortly thereafter, police located the suspect vehicle abandoned on a private drive off of Goshen Line.

Huron County OPP, Lambton County OPP, West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine responded to the scene and searched for the suspects.

Two suspects were ultimately located and taken into custody.

Anthony DILLON, 35 years of age from Lucknow has been charged with the following offences:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Taken Without Consent
Flight from Peace Officer
Dangerous Operation
Operation While Prohibited
Obstruct Peace Officer
Resist Peace Officer
Fail to Comply With Probation Order

He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 26, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.

Also charged is Lindsay COURTNEY, 40 years of age from Central Huron. She has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Taken without Consent and Obstruct Peace Officer. She has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 19, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
