(SOUTH HURON, ON) - A resident of Bluewater will have to answer to an Impaired Driving charge later this fall following an arrest made by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) last week.
On Thursday, October 8, 2020 at approximately 4:34 p.m. Huron County OPP received a call from a concerned citizen about a vehicle that was travelling northbound into Exeter in an erratic manner.
An OPP officer responded to the area and located the suspect vehicle parked at a business located on London Road. Police spoke with the driver and while doing so they noted the driver had been drinking alcohol and was displaying several signs of impairment.
Accordingly, the driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Clinton OPP Detachment for breath tests. Upon arrival at the detachment the driver ultimately failed to provide breath samples to the Intoxilizer Technician.
Tara INGRAM, 40 years of age from South Huron has been charged with Operation While Impaired and Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand. The accused has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 23, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
