Hand Gun Seized In Kitchener Drug Bust

On Friday, November 20, 2020, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Drugs and Firearms Team with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team conducted a Criminal Code search warrant at a Motel in Kitchener. Officers searched a unit and recovered a loaded handgun with ammunition. They also seized suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, psilocybin, cannabis marihuana and pills. As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old adult male and a 34-year-old adult female both from Kitchener now face several criminal code and drugs and firearms-related charges.
