Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 173 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested and two were on outstanding warrants.

Man Arrested for Robbery CK24011537

On February 19, 2024, Police responded to Dover Street in Chatham for an assault investigation.

The investigation revealed the man and woman were walking along Dover Street in Chatham when they engaged in a verbal argument. The argument escalated when the man assaulted the woman by pushing the woman to the ground and fled the area with her personal property. The victim did not sustain any physical injury as a result of the assault. When the man was not located a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On March 14, 2024, at 12:36 p.m., the 40-year-old Chatham man attended the Chatham Kent Police headquarters and turned himself into the police. He was arrested and released with conditions and a future court date of April 29, 2024.

Woman Arrested on a DNA Warrant CK24011593

At 5:24 p.m., police responded to Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg to conduct a well-being check on a woman reported to be walking into traffic.

Officers arrived on the scene and located the woman. Further investigation revealed the woman was wanted on an outstanding DNA warrant.

The 30-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing. She was released unconditionally.

Man Arrested for Public Intoxication CK24011646

On March 15, 2024, at 12:56 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on Princess Street South in Chatham.

Upon arrival officer located a man intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

The 40-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was issued a Provincial Offences Notice and held until sober.

Man Arrested for Public Intoxication CK24011662

On March 15, 2024, at 6:24 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on a man reported to be walking along Longwoods Road in Chatham Township.

Officers located the man intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

The 22-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was issued a Provincial Offences Notice and held until sober.
