(STIRLING-RAWDON TWP, ON) – Three people face drug trafficking charges after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized dangerous drugs at a residence in Stirling-Rawdon.

On April 18, 2024, the OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), assisted by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and Central Hastings OPP members, executed search warrants at a residence on Woods Drive. Officers seized nearly 10-grams of cocaine, a quantity of Clonazepam tablets and a number of unidentified pills. They also seized replica firearms, ammunition, cash and items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Chantelle BARNSLEY, age 34 of Stirling-Rawdon has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code with:

Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a Schedule 4 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000
Fail to comply with a Probation Order
Richard GOURLIE, age 41 of Quinte West, is charged with:

Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a Schedule 4 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000
Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
These two accused were held in custody, with bail hearings scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on April 19, 2024.

Sarah Alexandra HILTON, age 32 of Quinte West, has been charged with:

Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a Schedule 4 substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000
This accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 13, 2024
