(PICTON, ON) – Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual over the weekend with impaired offences.
On April 19, 2024 shortly after 9:00 p.m. officers received a report of a possible impaired driver. Officers responded to a parking lot off Main Street Picton and spoke with a driver of an ATV. An approved screening device was administered and as a result, the driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.
Cory COLE, age 38 from Prince Edward County, was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.
The driver was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date. The ATV was impounded for seven days.
The OPP would like to thank individuals for remaining vigilant for impaired drivers. Should you suspect someone is impaired, call 911.
