(WHITESTONE, ON) The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving.
On April 21, 2024, shortly before 3:00 p.m. members of the West Parry Sound OPP stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 124 in Whitestone Township. After speaking with the driver, it was determined the driver had consumed alcohol prior to driving. The driver failed an Approved Screening Device (A.S.D) check at the roadside and was arrested.
As a result of the investigation, Kenneth ZEBRAUSKAS, 47 years-of-age of Whitestone Township Ontario was charged with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Speeding
Drive motor vehicle with no currently validated permit.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 30, 2024. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
